Arri McWatt, physiotherapist, owner

Arri graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2010 from the University of Alberta. Prior to his Masters, he completed Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of Victoria in 2007. Arri grew up in small Northern Alberta town of Fairview where he was involved in many sports in Fairview and Grande Prairie. He played hockey, volleyball, golf, soccer, and squash. Currently he stays busy by being involved in hockey, golf, CrossFit, running, biking and squash. He is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and coaches at a local gym in west Edmonton. Arri has taken part in several charity and adventure sporting events year after year such as the Canadian Death Race, Run for the Cure, City Chase, Down and Dirty Mud Race, Med Cup Hockey Tournament, as well as the CrossFit Open and small local CrossFit events.

Arri has extensive experience working with patients from all ages ranging from 5 to 95 and all levels of mobility and function. His passion for physiotherapy is driven by variety and challenging himself to create unique treatment plans to optimize outcomes for each individual.

Aaron Norris, physiotherapist, owner

Aaron graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to completing his Physical Therapy Degree, he acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors from Memorial University in his hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland. Aaron has been involved in athletics his entire life with many years of experience in baseball, hockey, basketball, volleyball, cycling, golf and rowing at the high school and amateur level. He has been highly involved in CrossFit for the past 5 years and was fortunate enough to attend the 2013 Canada West Regional as a member of the CrossFit Armoury Team. He is also a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and coaches at a local gym in Edmonton part time. 

Aaron has a great deal of experience working with patients of all age groups. He has a passion for physiotherapy, which is clearly evident in his positive attitude and energy that is brought to the clinic everyday.

 Daniella Ongaro, physiotherapist

Daniella graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2015. In 2012, she achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology. Daniella grew up in a sporting household and has a deep appreciation and belief in the power of sport and physical activity. When she’s not busy taping ankles for her teammates, she’s playing hard on the soccer pitch. She’s also an avid cyclist, yoga enthusiast, and nature lover. Special interests include knees and pediatrics, though she enjoys working with all ages and injuries.

Jamie Easter, Physiotherapist

Jamie graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2015. She previously completed her Bachelors of Science in Human Kinetics at The University of Guelph in Ontario, where she worked as a Student Athletic Therapist with the Guelph Gryphons Women's Soccer team. Jamie grew up focussing on basketball and track and field but now spends most of her time either running or golfing. Her inspiration to become a physiotherapist started with her own injuries and understanding the role we have in prevention remains the driving force to her continuing education. 
 
Jamie implements a collaborative manual therapy and exercise approach to her practice and likes to work with all different populations. She works hard to not only solve your musculoskeletal issues but prevent future injuries in the process.

Taman McWatt, Physiotherapist

Taman graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Taman enjoys treating active individuals of all ages. He has a special interest in screening athletes for potential injuries and developing exercise plans aimed at reducing injury and maximizing performance.

Since graduating Taman has continued to develop his skill set by taking a number of courses on assessment, treatment and even dry needling. 

A former hockey and volleyball player, Taman now stays active doing Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting, mountain biking, rec hockey and coaching mobility classes in the community. The rest of his spare time is spent hanging out with his wife, friends and dog. Taman's hope is to help people return to the activities they enjoy free of pain and with the tools and knowledge to prevent future injury.

Anya Nykolaychuk, Registered Massage Therapist

Anya is a graduate of the MH Vicars School of Massage. She finished with a 2200 hour Remedial Massage Diploma, and is registered with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta. 
 
Born and raised in Edmonton, Anya grew up spending a lot of time in the River Valley, enjoying the combination of nature and fitness. She became involved in competitive dance at a young age, and through this, gained an appreciation for the human body and what it is capable of. This appreciation has now turned into a passion, and she is excited to offer massage therapy treatments as a way to reduce stress, pain, and dysfunction. Anya’s treatments are customized so she is able to deal with a wide variety of patients.

Mayuka Ueda, registered massage therapist

Mayuka has completed 2200hrs in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy at MaKami College and is registered with The Certified Registered Massage Therapist Association (CRMTA).  

Mayuka is passionate about dancing and started dancing ballet at a very young age. She trained and performed at a Ballet Company in Japan which is where she started to increase knowledge of the human body. She has worked with physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists to help with her own injuries she has incurred as an athlete. Mayuka was amazed and inspired by their work every time she visited and led her to become a massage therapist. Now she utilizes her experience in her remedial massage and exercise, and is passionate about helping others.

Jenna Swift, registered dietitian

Jenna graduated from the University of Alberta in spring 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science and Integrated Dietetic Internship. She is registered with the College of Dietitians of Alberta and an active member of Dietitians of Canada. Before becoming a Registered Dietitian she completed a degree in General Biology at Thompson Rivers University in her hometown of Kamloops, BC. Jenna spent a lot of time on the water growing up and enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, and barefooting. She played competitive volleyball and continues to spend time outdoors hiking, snowboarding, and running.

Jenna has always been passionate about food and how it impacts one’s overall health, including its role in sports performance and acute and chronic disease. She is dedicated to helping athletes and the general population reach their nutrition, fitness, and weight goals through evidenced-based education and personalized counseling.
