Jack Haworth, Physiotherapist

Jack grew up in England where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. He then went on to complete his Masters in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2013. For his final placement, Jack elected to come to Alberta to explore the profession overseas. He instantly found it a great fit and decided to move here in January 2014. He enjoys CrossFit, rugby, golf and exploring the great outdoors.

Jack's approach to rehabilitation is to identify mechanical, biomechanical or central barriers to sporting performance. He has a strong belief in functional rehabilitation. His treatment model is to facilitate tissue adaptation by prescribing appropriate exercise. This is aimed at increasing tissue extensibility and joint range of motion with stretching and flexibility work, or to increase neuromuscular recruitment along with the associated strength benefits from a progressive loading program. I believe that alongside traditional techniques such as joint manipulation, dry needling and muscle energy techniques that functional rehabilitation offers the best potential outcome for all athletes and patients.
